William “Bill” Robert Stanley, 57 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, went home to be with His Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at his home, following a sudden illness.
He was born March 27,1965 in Marietta, Ohio. Bill was a lifetime resident of Lorain, graduating from Grace Baptist School in Lorain.
He was employed at Go Green as a lawn care expert. He was previously employed in the food industry at Roy Rogers, Tuffys Muffler Shop, Cleveland Industrial and Chemlawn. Bill’s hobbies included collecting silver coins, fishing and hunting. His favorite pastime was going to the family hunting cabin in southern Ohio. His greatest joy in life; however, was his grandson.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Teresa Stanley (nee: Boggs); his children, Cynthia Rhae Stanley and Joshua Michael Stanley (Fiance Ashley Kump) both of Lorain; his grandson Elijah Robert; his siblings, Charles “Chuck” Stanley (Debi) of Lorain, George “Tom” Adams (Angie) of Kent and Diane Travis of Amherst.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Stanley-Adams (nee: Campbell); his father Charles Lester Stanley.
Friends may call Monday, March 13, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Rick Keesee, pastor of Midway Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
