William Resor Jr. Obituary

William Keith Resor Jr. from Lorain, Ohio born 10/11/1962 left his earthly home and went to his eternal one on 8/15/21. He was Bill to friends and co-workers. Billy to those who knew and loved him well and Papaw to nine. 
   
He was preceded by his son Eric, and two brothers David and Charles (Chucky). 
 
He is survived by his soulmate, best friend and the love of his life, his wife of nineteen years, Debbie. Children Tiana Resor, Cassie Coley and her husband Michael, Ben Provoznik and wife Maria and Kristin Resor and his nine grandchildren Gavin, Jaxon, Easton, Evee, Carter, Mia, Piper, Landon and Tucker. He is also survived by his parents Bill and Helen Resor, brother Timothy Resor and wife Pat and sisters JoAnn Gresh, Sharon Resor, Joyce Sergent and her husband Rick and numerous nieces and nephews and multiple friends and family who loved him dearly and are mourning his loss.
 
He served in the Marine Corp and was most recently employed at North Coast Behavioral Health as an LPN for many years. He was well respected and loved there and was known as “Mental Health Man”. He had recently earned his RN degree and also held a Masters in Divinity. 
 
He is best known for his ability to bring laughter to any situation with his quick wit and humor, the person who’s table you wanted to be seated at at the party and his tenderness and compassion. 
 
Viewing will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. at Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at North Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 323 North Lake St., South Amherst, where he was a member. Pastor Jayson Samons will officiate. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at http://www.hempelfuneralhome.com/.  Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

He is so very loved and his passing leaves a void in our hearts but our hope in Christ and his hope sustains us and assures us that this separation is only temporary. Until we meet again husband, daddy, son, brother, friend and soldier we will forever hold you in our memories. Semper Fi.
