Victor Rivera Jr.

Victor  Rivera Jr. was born to the late Victor and Natividad Rivera in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on September 10, 1953. He was brought to Lorain, Ohio when he was 2 months old where he lived his entire life. He went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 26, 2022, while surrounded by his loving family.

 

Victor’s pride and joy has always been about family. He was his happiest when his home was filled with laughter & joy alongside his best friend and loving, caring wife Caridad. He married Caridad (nee Guzman) Rivera on August 26, 1972, and together they had and raised three beautiful daughters, Malixza Beatriz Torres, Veronica Feicks and Vicky Rivera. Victor loved spending time and sharing adventures with his 5 grandchildren, Julia Feicks, Ileana Molina, Claudia Feicks, Victor Molina and Ven Rivera including his 2 great grandchildren, Royce Rosario and Blaaze Young.

 

Victor was a fan of Salsa music and dancing along with traveling and visiting family and friends. Victor & Careys home was always open for friends to visit, and he always had a great story to tell which everyone loved to hear. Rebuilding 1955 Chevys was one of his passions along with also traveling to car shows near and far.

 

Victor was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel all of his life; where he was also part of the Men's Cursillo Movement. Victor was immersed in the Lorain community from an early age. He was one of the founding fathers for the Latin Lords Club, serving as President, which helped to fund raise for many different causes. Throughout the years he also became a member of several organizations which included, The Puerto Rican Home, and The Knights of Columbus, to name a few.

 

Victor is survived by his wife, Caridad (nee Guzman) Rivera of fifty years, along with his daughters, Malixza Beatriz Torres (Ariel Torres), Veronica Feicks (Justin Feicks) and Vicky Rivera (Iran Rivera); his grandchildren, Julia Feicks, Ileana Molina, Claudia Feicks, Victor Molina and Ven Rivera; his great grandchildren, Royce Rosario and Blaaze Young; his brother, Ramon A. Rivera and his sister, Francisca Torres.

 

Friends may call Tuesday, November 29,  2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Additional calling hours will be held Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel. The Rev. Fr. William Thaden, pastor will officiate.
