Thomas Wiercinski, 93 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away January 3, 2022, at New Life Hospice in Lorain, following a full and meaningful life.
He was born December 12, 1928, in Erie Pa. Tom and his wife of seventy years moved to Amherst in 2014.
He was employed as a Toy Model Maker at Marx Toys and Fisher Price Toys. While working for ILLCO Toys, NYC he traveled to Hong Kong, China and SE Asia. Tom was the real jack of all trades. He maintained his home and cars his entire life and helped his family and friends. Tom especially enjoyed working with his brother in law Red Fagan.
Survivors include his children David Wiercinski (Chris) of Riverside, CA and Elaine Reisdorf (Tyler Lee) of Vermilion; his sisters Helen (Jenny) Fagan of Girard, PA and Sister Mary Andrew of Dunkirk, NY.
He was preceded in death by his wife of seventy years Delores “Kaya” Wiercinski in 2018; his son Thomas Wiercinski in 1998; his siblings Bernard “Ben” Wiercinski and Florence Baniszewski, and his parents Paul and Sophie Wiercinski (nee:Piatkowski).

Graveside services at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery in Wintergreen, PA, will be held at a later date.
