Thomas Nicholas Tomusko, 39 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 5, 2021, following a lifelong battle with neurofibromatosis.
He was born July 1, 1981, in Lorain where he was raised and was a lifelong resident. Thomas attended Lorain County Joint Vocational School in Oberlin and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a bachelor's degree in telecommunications from Ohio University. He excelled in academics and was always seeking to gain new understanding such as mastery of the five languages which he was self teaching or a deeper understanding of his Lord through online Bible studies.
Thomas accepted Christ as his savior at a young age and attended Church of the Open Door in Elyria where he would later serve on a mission trip to Mexico. He was very active outdoors, golfing, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, karate and nature photography. Thomas lived life to the fullest and enjoyed fitness, baseball, bowling, theater, history, family ancestry research and his book clubs. He loved classical music among other styles that were of interest to him. Thomas will be remembered as the person who was always helping those in need. He also loved animals, especially dogs. Most of all, Thomas loved Christ and telling others about his Savior.
He leaves to cherish his memory the joy of his life, his daughter Rosalie Grace Tomusko of Lorain; his sister Lisa Marie Tomusko of Lorain, his mother Jean Marie Tomusko (nee: Ashwill) and stepfather James D. Clark of Grafton; and his close friend Marcos Athineos as well numerous aunts and uncles and treasured family members.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas John Tomusko in 1992 and by a miscarried child.
