Suzanne Traster (nee: Stapleton), 92 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic in Avon surrounded by her family.
She was born May 4, 1931 in Fairview, Ohio. Suzanne had made her home in Amherst for most of her life.
Suzanne was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and enjoyed raising her seven children. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst. Suzanne was very creative and wrote short stories and articles for the Amherst NewsTimes for many years. She loved playing poker and doing Sudoku puzzles. She enjoyed gardening and was an excellent cook. She loved to travel with her husband Clarence, especially to the casinos.
Survivors include her children, Lawrence Traster of Seattle, WA, Gerald Traster (Jacqueline) of Elyria, Terrence Traster (Eleanor) of Amherst, Stephanie Moe (Stan) of Puyallup, WA, Michael Traster (Tina) of Henrietta Township, Kathleen Bradac (Jim) of Amherst and Keith Traster (Amy) of Nolensville, TN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and her sister, Georgia Herte (George) of Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-one years, Clarence L. Traster Jr. on December 22, 2022; and her parents, Josephine and George Souris (nee: Edwards).
Services will be held privately by the family.
