Susan Rebecca (Schwartz) Sroka

Susan Rebecca Sroka (nee: Schwartz), 71 years of age, and a resident of Bay Village, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 21, 2023 at her home.

Susan was born July 11, 1952, in Lorain where she was raised and graduated with the class of 1970 from Vermilion High School. She moved to Bay Village in 1985 and had made her home there.

Susan was a nurse practitioner for the Cleveland Clinic for over 15 years.  She loved to go boating, especially racing.  She was a gourmet cook and enjoyed dabbling in home renovations. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of thirty-eight years, Robert ‘Bob’ Allen Sroka; her children, Jared Keron (Kerry Rudy) of Worthington, Nathan Keron of North Olmsted, Robert (Jessica) Sroka of New London, Theresa (Brad) Stoffer of Elyria; five grandchildren; her sister, Karen McPhie of Avon; and her stepfather John S. Majzun.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents James Schwartz and Hetty “Bertie” Majzun (nee: Spencer).

Friends may call Saturday, October 28,  2023, from 2 pm until the time of the service at 3 pm at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.  Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com .
