Sean Henra Ferguson, 50 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021, at his home following a sudden health illness.
He was born April 21,1971, in Springfield, Ohio. Sean enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his county for twelve years. Sean lived in the New Jersey area and eventually made his way home to Lorain County. He loved being a father and spending time with his family. Sean enjoyed studying and expanding his knowledge. He was an avid Cleveland Sports fan, especially the Cleveland Browns, “...here we go Brownies, here we go...Woof Woof!
Survivors include his faithful companion and best friend of fourteen years, Delores Marrero of Elyria; his children, Sierra Ferguson of NJ, Isaiah Ferguson of NJ and Sayah Seanni Ferguson of Elyria; his mother, Saundra Ferguson-Brown of Lorain; his siblings Cori Ferguson, Mario Ferguson, Tyler Johnson, Dazonae Ferguson, Clifford Lee Parks Jr., Aaron Donta Parks, Cailus Juan Parks, Daman Udia Parks and Nichole Hurt; his grandfather Marvin Johnson of Lorain; ten nieces and nephews; as well as many treasured family members in both Cleveland and Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Lee Ferguson; his sister Lenora; his maternal grandmother, Vickie Johnson, his paternal grandmother, Wilda Mae Ferguson; his brother in law, Jose Marrero and his nephew, Tyler Johnson, Jr.
Public visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.at Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst, burial will follow at New Russia Township Cemetery, Oberlin. Due to Covid-19, we are asking that people wear a mask and be careful to maintain social distancing.
