Sally Ann Vagrosky (nee Peters), 83 years of age, and a long time resident of Amherst, passed away Feb. 9, 2021, while in the care of her family in Amarillo, TX following a lengthy illness.
Sally was born Dec. 4, 1937 in Elyria, Ohio where she was raised and graduated from school. She made her home in the Elyria area until moving to Amherst in 1972 where she lived until transitioning to TX within the last several months.
Sally was a member of Old Stone Evangelical Church in Amherst. She was employed for over thirty years with Nordson Corp of Amherst where she served as a Expense Coordinator for the company. She was active in her community as a volunteer at; Mercy Regional Health Care’s gift shop for 15 years as well as at the Cleveland Playhouse as a Red Jacket for twenty seven years. She loved staying connected with her 1955 high school classmates called the “Clearview Girls”. She was an avid Cleveland Indians, Browns and Ohio State fan. When time permitted she could always be found caring for her plants both indoors and in her well manicured backyard.
Survivors include her children, Chuck (Kristi) Vagrosky of Amarillo, TX, Michael (Rona) Vagrosky of Lorain, and Ric (Deborah) Vagrosky also of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren Hunter, Chaz, Nic, Victoria, Vagrosky and Chris and Amanda Warner; great granddaughter Carter Grace Vargrosky.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Joseph Vagrosky; her brothers, Richard and Bill Peters; as well as her parents Elsworth and Dorothy Peters.
