Sally Ann Kochis

Sally Ann Kochis (nee: Eddy), 89 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, received her angelic  wings, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Avenue in North Ridgeville, following a full and meaningful life.

She was born November 19, 1933, in Elyria, Ohio.  Sally not only lived in Lorain County but also spent many years enjoying Florida with her soulmate Ernest Kinney. Sally had a beautiful spirit and loved most, the time she spent with her family and friends playing bingo, going to casinos, going out to eat, or enjoying family celebrations.  When the days were quiet she enjoyed relaxing at home with her cats, crocheting.

Sally had a heart to serve others and was a caretaker over the years to her mother and mother in law, as well as her daughter, Sharon, husband, Steve, and companion, Ernie.

Survivors include her children, Steve (Pam) Kochis and Susan (Tom)  Miller both of Amherst;  grandchildren, Amy Morrow and Kristi Gaetz; great grandchildren, Dakkota Morrow, Maddison Morrow, Jacob Gaetz and Addisyn Gaetz, as well as her brother Richard Eddy of FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty five years, Steve C. Kochis; her companion of fourteen years, Ernest Kinney; daughter Sharon L. Kochis; and her parents Paul and Elsie Eddy (nee: Jobbagy).

Graveside services will be held privately by the family at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.

Sally had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her cats that were her companions throughout her life. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lorain County Animal Protective League.
