Roger Lee Kuhl, 81 years of age, and a resident of LaGrange, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, at UH Elyria Medical Center following an unexpected illness.
Roger was born October 27, 1940, in Letter Gap, WV, where he was raised until 1959 when he moved to Ohio.
Roger retired in 2006, after 43 years as a machine tech for the General Motors Corporation in Parma. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church and participated in the Silver Saints program at the church. He proudly served his country in the US Army. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and yard work. By far the most treasured times were spent with his son and grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Roger Lee (Tonya) Kuhl, Jr. of LaGrange; his grandchildren, Brooke (Corey) Creak, Brandon (Jillian), Brody (Macey Hartley) all of LaGrange; his great grandchildren, Colton Creak and Raleigh Kuhl; and his sister, Mary (Lane) Smith of Cedarville, WV.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife of forty-seven years, Janet Kuhl (nee: Nolan); his sister Helen Reed; and his parents Ottie and Tishia Kuhl (nee: Collins).
Public visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 6-8 pm at Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Rd., Elyria, Ohio 44035. Additional visitation will be available on Friday, from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . The Rev. Keesee, pastor of Midway Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will take place at River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Township, Ohio.
