Robert John Klaue, 67 years of age, and a former resident of Vermilion, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Springs Creek Nursing and Rehab, in Green Springs, Ohio, following a two year illness.
He was born February 6, 1955, in South Amherst. Robert was raised and lived in Florida, graduating from Miami Carol City Senior High School with a certificate of Air conditioning and refrigeration and basic electricity. He continued his education at Miami Dade College North where he received a management and supervision certificate. Robert loved learning and felt you could never be too educated and there was always something new to learn.
Robert was a licensed Journeyman plumber for Miami-Dade and Broward County in Florida.
He proudly served as a private first class in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a truck driver in the motor pool brigade.
Served the Lord with Ministries in Action, helping pastors relocate to Florida from across the country. He served on several missions trips to Jamaica as well. Robert will be sincerely missed by his loving family.
Survivors include his son, Robert S. Klaue (Cookie) of Hollywood, Florida; his mother, Rosemary Donna Klaue (nee: Mudrich) of Cary, North Carolina; four grandchildren; his siblings, Gary Klaue of Miami, Florida and Rosalie Tisa (George) of Youngsville, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his father John Walter Klaue on July 10, 2009.
Friends may call Friday, January 13, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
