Richard Andrew Malinovsky, 73 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, at his residence.
Richard was born August 22, 1948, in Amherst, and was a lifetime resident of Lorain. He graduated from Clearview High School with the class of 1966.
Richard was employed as a foreman at U. S. Steel for 35 years. Richard also proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Outside of work, Richard was a fun loving, relational, and warm man. He loved the outdoors and loved to remain busy. Whether gardening or shoveling snow, Richard enjoyed all four seasons, but winter was his favorite and the snow that accompanied it.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years Kathy Malinovsky (nee: Dellefield): his daughter, Kimberly Anderson of Lorain; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashlyn, and Autumn Malinovsky; his great grandaughter, Nova Malinovsky; and his sister, Sharon (Terry) Krucinksi of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his son, Theodore Malinovsky in 2001; his brother Alan Malinovsky in 1952; and his parents Theodore and Janet Malinovsky (nee: Vilagi).
Public Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst . Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . The Rev. Fr. Frank Kosem will officiate. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
