Richard Baker Obituary
Richard Fay Baker, 63 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at his home.
He was born April 8, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio Richard had made his home in Elyria before moving to Amherst where he had resided for the last seven years. He was a graduate of Berea Midpark High School with the class of 1977.
He was employed at Voss Aerospace as a Plant Manager for thirty-seven years. Richard loved being a husband and father. He was lovingly nicknamed “Bubba” by his family. Richard loved bowling with his son Ricky.
Survivors include his son, Richard “Ricky” Baker of Amherst; his siblings James Baker (Karen) of Smithfield, KY and Barbara “Jo” St. Clair of Elyria and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 ½ years, Karen Marie Baker (nee: Schoenholz), on July 28, 2017; and his parents, James E. and Marjorie Baker (nee: Reynolds).
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2-6 p.m. at the Colonial Oaks Community Center, 10425 Middle Avenue, Elyria, OH.
