Phyllis Ann Healy, 56 years of age and a longtime resident of South Amherst, passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2021, at the Cleveland Clinic in downtown Cleveland.
Born Feb. 15, 1964, in Amherst, Ohio she graduated from South Amherst High School in the class of 1982. She was an integral part of her family's management of Johnnie’s Green Acres Flea Market in South Amherst. She also worked over the years at local restaurants as a waitress and cook. When time permitted she enjoyed camping and spending time with family celebrating life.
Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory her husband of twenty years, “Mick” Michael K. Healy; son, Luke Berner of South Amherst; step children, Robby, Michael, Tana, Shane, and Tisha; granddaughter, Lilly Berner as well as twenty-one step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Glen D. Mayfield in 1982 and Sandy Osterman in 2009 and by her parents John Mayfield in 2006 and Wilma J. Mayfield (Jones) in Sept. of 2021.
Family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 15, 2021 at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held the following day, Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at 11 am at Grace Baptist Church, 500 W. Main Street, South Amherst.
