Peggy Ann Byrd

Peggy Ann Byrd (nee: Winders), 75 years of age, entered into eternal rest on October 11, 2023.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 15, 1947 to Johnny and Christine Winders.  She was a graduate of St. Bernard High School in 1965 where she was a cheerleader and made many lifelong friends 

Peggy was a devoted member of The Sheffield Church of God and loved the Lord.  She loved Clearwater Beach and trips with her high school friends “The Queens“. Peggy loved to travel to Tennessee, flea markets and garage sales with her husband Henry.  She loved playing board games, (Especially Tri-ominos with her mom).  She absolutely loved The Cleveland Indians.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Henry L. Byrd; her children, Christa Devonne Decker (Brandon) and Tammy Leigh Wargo (Chad); her grandchildren, Emily and Michael Cervantes, Cameron Decker, Jarrett and Madison Hylton and Donavin Wargo; her great grandchildren, Dylan, Reese and Scarlett; her mother, E. Christine Winders; and her sister, Deborah K. Winders.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie F. Winders.

Friends may call Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the Sheffield Church of God, 2280 Abbe Rd N, Sheffield, OH 44054.  The Rev. Scott Skeens, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at New Russia Township Cemetery, Oberlin..
