Pauline Estelle Lovelace (nee: Celesky), 89 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away May 12, 2022, at Lorain Estates.
Pauline was born November 1, 1932, in Detroit, MI. Michigan remained her home until her move to Amherst, Oh in 1964. She and her husband moved to Elyria in 2000.
Pauline and her husband met at their common employment with Mello Crisp Potato Chip factory in Michigan. Their life together spanned sixty nine years until his passing in April of this year. Throughout those years Pauline treasured her roles as wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She not only excelled at her roles as a homemaker but also as a registered nurse. She received her nursing degree from St. Joseph School of nursing and went on to receive her masters in nursing. Employed for 30 years at Fairview Hospital as a nurse she also was a member of the Fairview School of Nursing where she taught for many years. She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst as well as the Legion of Mary. Pauline loved life and its many facets such as; crocheting, embroidering, bowling, dancing and being a pianist not to mention taking beach vacations with the family.
Survivors include her children, Paul Lovelace (Lisa) of Dacula, GA, Michael Lovelace of Elyria, David Lovelace of Vermilion, Karen (Jeff) Sebastian of Lorain, Catherine Napolitano of Monroe, NJ, and Anne (Jonathan) Kirk of Lorain; her nineteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Lovelace; her son, Mark Lovelace; her daughter, Emily Lovelace, and her parents, Paul J. and Helen Celesky (nee: Narkowski).
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Lorain Estates staff, and Crossroads Hospice caregivers for their kindness and compassion extended to their parents during their stay.
Services will be held privately by the family at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
