Patricia Ann Migra (nee:Libby), 79 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday April 29, 2007 at Community Health Partners emergency room following an eleven day illness.
Pat was born September 19, 1927 in Lorain where she was raised, graduating from Clearview High School. She continued her education with the Lorain Business College. She moved to Amherst in 1952 and has been a resident since that time.
Pat was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Amherst since 1990. She was a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Lorain where she was active with the women's missionary program, a leader for the churches Pioneer Girls Club, a dedicated Sunday School teacher of 25 years and a committed disciple of Christ having perfect attendance all her years at Fellowship Baptist Church. She served as an example of true Christianity to her family and friends opening her home and caring for the needy in her community.
Survivors include husband of fifty-eight years Raymond W. Migra; sons Kenneth R. Migra of Amherst and Richard A. Migra of Nenana, Alaska; her daughter Mary M. Migra of South Amherst; six grandchildren; and her sisters, Maxine Holloway of Lorain and Merele Raich of CA.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Juanita Prybyl and Ruth Wagner as well as her parents Guy P and Margaret Libby (nee Welch).
Friends may call Tuesday, May 1, 2007 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Michael Plog, pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Amherst, will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon, Ohio.
