Natividad "Naty" (Pagan) Rivera

Natividad “Naty” Rivera (nee: Pagan)  87 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away  Friday, October 8, 2021, at Avon Place  following a long and full life.

Naty was born on Christmas Day, 1933, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, where she was raised and lived until moving to the Lorain area in 1954.  She made her home in Lorain until moving to Avon Place in 2018. 

Naty’s primary focus in life was being a devoted wife to her husband Pipo, mother to her treasured children as well as grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.  Beyond her role as homemaker she also worked for 15 years for Green Circle Growers, as well as a seamstress for Service Overhaul Supplies in Lorain for ten years. Naty also treasured her Catholic Faith and faithfully attended mass at Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain where she volunteered regularly at the bake sales.  She enjoyed bingo, casinos, and taking vacations aboard cruise ships but by far Naty’s favorite thing was loving and caring for her family.

She leaves to treasure her memory, her children, Victor (Carey) Rivera, Jr. of Lorain, Ramon “Ray” (Judy) Rivera of Lorain, and Francisca “Frances” (Benny) Torres of Miami Springs, FL; grandchildren, Malixza Rivera, Veronica (Justin) Feicks, Vicky (Iran) Rivera, Ramon (Nicole) Rivera, Jr., Chad (Melissa) Gatchell, Matthew (Kelly) Gatchell, Bienvenido Torres III, Michael Torres; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; her brother Raul Pagan, and her sister Josefa Santiago both of Puerto Rico. 

Naty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty three years, Victor Rivera-Lamboy; by a granddaughter, Ivette J. Rivera; her siblings, Monchito, Bice, Julia, and Aida; and by her parents, Luis and Emilia Pagan (nee: Rivera).

A public visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 8:30 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Ave., Lorain OH.  Rebroadcasting of services will be available at http://www.hempelfuneralhome.com/. The Rev. Fr.  William Thaden, pastor of Sacred Heart Chapel will officiate.  Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
