Melissa Igoe Obituary
Melissa Ann Igoe (nee: Jackson), 45 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at her home following a brief illness.
She was born July 1, 1976, in Amherst, Ohio. Melissa was raised in Vermilion, graduating from Vermilion High School with the class of 1996. She had made her home in Amherst for the last twenty years.
Melissa was employed at Giant Eagle in Vermilion and Amherst as a store clerk. She enjoyed shopping for a “deal” with her family on a weekly basis. Melissa was loved and cherished by her family and friends. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and taking care of her three dogs at home.
Survivors include her loving husband of twenty years Jason Igoe; her parents Thomas, Sr. and Deborah Jackson (nee: Lantz), and her brother Thomas Jackson, Jr. of Vermilion.
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
