Mary Carver Lewis (nee: Kasper), 80 years of age, and a resident of Henrietta Township, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at University Hospital - St. John West Shore in Westlake, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness.
She was born July 24, 1940, in Amherst where she was raised. Mary had made her home in Henrietta Township for most of her life.
Her primary focus in life was that of being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. After raising her children, Mary used her creativity and love of flowers as a florist at Botamer’s Florist and her daughter’s venture, Flowers are More. She was a member of New Apostolic Church in Lorain for over sixty years. Mary was a self taught pianist and organist and loved serving as the organist at her church. She enjoyed taking trips to the Amish Country, gardening and canning. Mary was an excellent baker and loved baking with her grandchildren and family
Survivors include her husband of ten years, Donald Lewis; her children, Joseph Carver, Mary Sandrock (Jeff), Patty Dowdy (Joe), John Carver (Laura), Karen Zupic (John), Jeffery Carver (Lenore) and Jason Carver; many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Collins (Leslie) of Kipton, as well as many extended family members and longtime friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of twenty-seven years, Joe Carver in 1994; her nephew, Randy Collins; her brother, John Kasper; and her parents, John C. and Helen Kasper (nee: Bucholz).
Services will be held privately by the family.
