Marion Loretta Podolski

Marion Loretta Podolski (Kusch), 86 years of age, and a resident of Amherst,  passed away  Friday, September 25, 2020, at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain, following a courageous eight year battle with cancer.

She was born January 18, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan where she was raised.  Marion graduated from Chadsey High School. She had made her home in Amherst for the last fifty-five years.

Her primary focus in life was that of being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amherst.  Her hobbies included baking and gardening and staying current with the news on her computer.   

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-six years Benny Walter Podolski; her children Denise Ann Podolski of Arlington, VA, Michael Steven Podolski (Pollyann) of State College, PA and Christine Marie Zitello (Michael) of North Ridgeville; her grandsons Bradley and Jeffrey Podolski; as well as her brother John Kusch (Karen) of Westland, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Nancy Kusch (nee: Zachalski).

The family would like to thank Dr. Escuro and his team at Mercy Regional Cancer Center for their kindness and care for Marion during this difficult time.

Services will be held privately by the family.
