Our Lord, in His infinite wisdom, called Lynne Ann Urbansky home on Nov. 15, 2021. Lynne had a brain tumor removed in May and spent her last months with friends and family while the Lord prepared her for her journey. She was born in May, 1954, in Elyria, OH to Jim and Nancy DeLodge. In 1974 she married Jack Urbansky and together they raised their daughter, Kasey and their son, Kevin. Both children attended Open Door Christian School and the family regularly attended services at Church of the Open Door. Lynne worked as a property and casualty agent starting at Harold Rorick Insurance while still a senior at Midview High school. She retired due to disability in 2008.
Lynne liked watching Cleveland sports, going out to eat, and bargain shopping. She loved to spend time in the pool and taught both her grandsons to swim. She would never get out of the car before fixing her hair and makeup and she loved to talk and socialize with her many close girlfriends. She looked forward to visiting her late mother-in-law for Sunday dinner and spending holidays with Jack’s family. She took several trips to Florida, Indiana, and Texas to visit her parents and sisters and she enjoyed touring the White House decorated for Christmas with her family during the Bush administration. Her favorite adventure was her vacation to Hawaii with Jack in 2015.
Her greatest joy came from raising her children and then helping with the grandkids. If you were to look at some of the many pictures she has displayed in her home, you would find her biggest smile when she is holding a grandchild. Lynne was always in attendance at her kid’s soccer and volleyball games and loved to brag about their talents. She enjoyed making homemade dinners and desserts but was most famous for her potato salad. She adored her late dog Maxwell, (who the kids dragged home without permission) and loved pampering her house rabbit, Twilight.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jack, her mother, Nancy DeLodge, her daughter, Kasey (Warren, Bailey & Brynnley Olesinski), her grandsons Tatum and Kellen Lasko, her son Kevin (Alexis Burch) and sisters Karen Klonowski, Lori DeLodge and Karla Colmant. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim DeLodge and her mother-in-law, Alice Callahan.
