Lynda L. Hambly

Lynda L. Hambly (nee: Toma), 74 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic, Avon Hospital  following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 18, 1947 in Lorain.  Lynda was a lifetime resident of Lorain County.

She was employed as a secretary at NASA in Brookpark for over thirty years before retiring in 2017. Lynda lived for her family and played a very big role in her family's life, especially her grandkids. She loved playing the piano and singing with her family. Lynda enjoyed traveling,  cooking and was an excellent seamstress..  She loved all animals and cared for and nursed many back to health over the years.

Survivors include her daughters JoAnne Knoske (Bill Saunders) of Amherst, Michelle Ryan (Michael) of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren Joshua Ryan, Nathanial Ryan (Melanie), Samuel Ryan, Alyssa Luciano (Luis), Lea Knoske; her brothers Gary Toma (Terry) and Brad Toma (Lydia) both of California.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Barbara Toma (nee: Tuma).

Public visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 7:00 p.m.  at Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Pastor Bob Wickens of Church of the Open Door, will officiate. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at http://www.hempelfuneralhome.com/ .
