Lucille Ann Hannah (nee: Gum), 84 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away May 14, 2022.
Lucille was born December, 14, 1937, in Hillsboro, W.V. and raised there. She has been a resident of Lorain for the last 60 plus years.
Lucille worked part time as both a teacher’s aid and as babysitter for local families in her neighborhood. However, her greatest priority was her family and home. She loved her children and supported them in everything they did. She even was the softball coach for LeeAnn one year and regularly attended the boy’s wrestling matches. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like relaxing at home watching the neighborhood activity or reading mystery books which might be finished in a day.
Survivors include her children, David Hannah of Lorain, Michael Hannah of Amherst, and LeeAnn (Gregg) Benzel of Amherst; her grandchildren Jessica (Victor) Smith, Douglas (Katie) Benzel, Ryan Hannah; her great grandchildren, Owen and Violet; her brother Tony Gum of Buchannan, W.V. and Del Gum of Waverly, TN; and her sister, Sherry Schroer of Lacey Springs, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61½ years, James L. Hannah; her nine siblings; and her parents Clark McKenely and Esta Murile Gum (nee: Bonnell).
The family will be holding public graveside services Friday, May 20th, 2022 at 11 am at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
