Lois Ann Wulfhoop (nee: Ingersoll), 57 years of age, and a resident of Vermilion, passed away January 2, 2022, at UH Elyria Medical Center.
She was born January 31, 1964, in Amherst, Ohio, graduating from South Amherst High School with the class of 1982. Lois had lived in Wellington for twenty-four years before moving to Vermilion where she had made her home for the last six years.
Lois was the owner and president of Northern Ohio Billing Specialists for twenty-five years. She graduated from David Meyers University in Cleveland with a Bachelors of Science in Health Care Administration. Lois was a graduate of Lorain County Leadership, class of 2008. She served on the Wellington School Board. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Elyria. Lois loved being by the water, jet skiing and collecting sea glass along the shores of Lake Erie. She enjoyed shopping at local stores and markets. Lois would often express her love for others through gift giving. Her greatest joy in life was found in the time she spent with her family and friends, and living in the Vermilion Shores community.
Survivors include her husband, of thirty-eight years Timothy Marc Wulfhoop; her children, Kenneth Wulfhoop (Allison) of Amherst, and Olivia Taylor (Brian) of Medina; one grandchild on the way by each of her children; her mother, Janice Ingersoll (nee: Jamie) of Vermilion; her siblings, Lynn Call of Vermilion, Lisa Dumski of Elyria, and Lorna Ingersoll of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Ingersoll.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church; 1140 West River, N, Elyria. The Rev. Bill Mugnolo, pastor, will officiate. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
