Lois M. McCue

Lois M. McCue (nee: Winiarski), 87 years of age, and a resident of North Ridgeville, formerly of South Amherst, passed away  Monday, November 15, 2021 at O'Neills Healthcare in North Ridgeville, following a full and meaningful life.

She was born April 7, 1934, in Lorain. Lois was a lifetime resident of South Amherst.

She was employed at PNC Bank for thirty years before retiring as a Bank Officer. Lois was a member of Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in South Amherst.  She served as the church financial secretary and was a member of the Altar rosary.  

Survivors include her children, Brian (Judy) McCue of Amherst and Linda (Cliff) Noll both of Amherst, Leanne (John) Wright of South Amherst, Cathy (Mike) Worholic of Wakeman, Colleen McCue of Lorain and Meredith Chaney of Elyria; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; her brother, William Winiarski of New London.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years Gordon “Skip” Lawson McCue on November 7, 2010; her siblings  Paul Winiarski, Ronald Winiarski, Charles Winiarski, Jr. Sylvester Winiarski, Geraldine Los, Dolly Ruth and Patricia Winiarski; and her parents Charles M. and Catherine Winiarksi (nee: Meisner).

Public visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. at  Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 333 South Lake Street, South Amherst.  Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . The Rev. Fr. Timothy O’Connor, pastor,  will officiate.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Amherst.
