Linda Lou Abraham (nee Starnes), a longtime resident of Amherst, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, April 15, 2023, at New Life Hospice Center of Lorain.
Born June 27, 1944 in Norton, VA. She was raised in Virginia as well as in Montana. Amherst, Ohio has been Linda’s home for over 65 years.
A dedicated housewife and mother, Linda also worked multiple jobs throughout her life. She worked alongside her husband in their business, Denny Abraham Builders. She watched many children over the years to include her granddaughter, Brittany. She also owned and operated East of Chicago in South Amherst. When life allowed, Linda loved to travel with her daughter Tina around the country seeing its beauty. Linda was a regular attendee at North Lake Missionary Baptist Church in South Amherst.
Surviving Linda include her husband, Dennis Lee Abraham; children, Michael Abraham (Traci) of Wakeman, Danny Abraham (Melody) of Amherst, and Tina Abraham of San Jose, CA. Grandchildren Alison Abraham and Brittany (David) Doud Jr; great grandchildren Aubree and Brantley; as well as brother Chet Starnes of Amherst, OH.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Reed as well as by her parents, Isaac James and Mayo Christine Starnes (nee Freeman).
Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 28th, 2023, from 5 - 8 pm at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral will be held the following day, Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at the funeral home at 11am. Services will conclude with interment at Kendeigh Corner Cemetery, Amherst Twp.
