LeRoy (Neil) Bartlome, 87 years of age, and a resident of Milan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, following a full and meaningful life.
He was born March 28, 1933, in Amherst where he was raised, graduating from Amherst High School with the class of 1952. Lee had made his home in Milan for the last 21 ½ years.
He proudly served as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korea War. Lee was employed at Ohio Edison for forty-two years before retiring in 1994, as a line foreman.
He was a member of the Amherst Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1442 and Huron Fraternal Order of the Eagles # 2875. Lee enjoyed sports, fishing, bowling, and was a member of the Lorain Bowling Association. He loved spending time with his family and the trips they took to the casinos.
Survivors include his wife of 21 ½ years Kathy Bartlome (nee: Pisano); his daughter Tina (Marty Martin) Bartlome of South Amherst; his step daughter Terri (Todd) Fedderke of Napoleon, OH; his grandchildren Camren, Collin, Caroline; his brother Wayne Bartlome of Elyria and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years, Nancy Bartlome (nee: Candito) in 1998; his sons Terry and Brad Bartlome; his step daughter Carolyn Lindenberger; his brothers Norwood and Russell Bartlome, sisters Elaine Young, Maxine Toth and infant Evelyn ; and his parents John and Mabel Bartlome (nee: Towne).
Public visitation for family and friends will be held at Hempel Funeral Home on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in the afternoon by reservation at https://signup.com/go/KxZbGOx or by phoning the funeral home at 440-988-4451 between the hours of 9-5.
