On September 4th 2023, Ladrien Marsha Jordan completed her time here on Earth and began the next leg of her journey through the Universe. Ladrien was born January 24th, 1942, to Michael Schneider (deceased) and Killie Kowalchyk (deceased) In Lorain, OH. She was joined by brothers David Kidder (Joan) and Jeffrey Kidder (Amy) (deceased).
She attended Lorain H.S. and then was employed at her mother’s restaurant where she met her life partner Keith L. Jordan (deceased). They were married in 1958 and remained together for almost 65 years. This marriage produced four children, Keith M, Kevin, Patrice Ballard (David) and Jason (Jennifer). She was the proud Grandmother to Joshua, Carmine, Katherine, Matthew, Chase, Caleb and Kai. She had three great grandchildren Victoria, Alexis and Dominic.
Though Ladrien was not able to finish high school, she was a lifelong seeker of knowledge and spent much of her life exploring meditation and other spiritual practices. She was devoted to her
husband and children and spent much of her time managing the household. She was still able to find time to be active in the PTA, volunteer at her children’s school, and made innumerable trips to Keystone H.S. ferrying her kids to practices. She taught meditation at LCCC and opened a gift shop in Elyria. She also worked for her mother’s catering business for 25 years.
Ladrien had a lifelong love of nature and gardening. She took great pride in her organic garden and the chickens that she raised. She had many devoted customers for her produce and eggs, some who became dear friends. Ladrien was a nurturing soul who touched many lives, including the friends of her children, who she treated as if they were her own. She opened her heart and her home to all that were in need and the world will be a little less illuminated today without her presence.
There will be no public service for Ladrien. Her family will be having a private celebration of her life, which will be announced at a later date.
