Jose David Marrero, 38 years of age, and a lifetime resident of Lorain, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021.
He was born April 7, 1982 in Lorain. He was employed as a construction worker at New Level Properties as a lead siding installer. His hobbies include traveling, fishing, playing pool and darts, Call of Duty Modern Warfare was also a favorite video game. Most of all Jose loved being with his family, especially his children, and was an awesome uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Surviving Jose are his children Nikolas Rosalez and Gianni Rosalez and their mother, Aniqua Rosalez all of Deltona, FL, as well as Sophia Marrero, and her mother Itzai Ruiz of Lorain; his sisters, Lucas (Kathy) Mauricio of Lorain, and Delores Marrero of Elyria; best friends Cora Cervantes and Norbert Garcia; his grandfather, Robert W. Burns of Meadville Mississippi; his aunts, Deloris Mauricio, Frances Mauricio; his uncles, Joseph Mauricio, Manuel Mauricio, and Steve (Linda) Mendiola; as well as many great aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sipriana Mendiola; his maternal grandfather, Jose Inez Mauricio; his maternal grandmother, Lucas M. Burns; his uncle, Fernando Mauricio; and cousin, Francisca Mendiola.
Public visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst. With COVID 19 protocols in place, we are asking that after paying your respects that you do not linger, social distancing and masks will be required.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the family for the care of Jose’s children.
