John M. Jamie, 61 years of age, and a resident of South Amherst, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, following a brief illness.
He was born September 29, 1960 in Oberlin. John was a lifetime resident of South Amherst, graduating from South Amherst High School with the class of 1979.
John will be remembered as a hardworking, honest man. He owned and operated Mild to Wild Off Road in South Amherst and previously owned TJ Ice. John was a loving husband and family man. His wife and extended family and friends meant the world to him. He would do anything for his family and his many friends. John served on the South Amherst Fire Department for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-two years Donna Jamie (nee: Thomson); his sisters Bobbie Jamie of Pickerington and Carol King of Amherst; his sister in law Diane (Tim) Thomson of Oberlin; nephews Michael Jamie of Pickerington, Trevis Pongracz (Abby) Elyria and his niece Kayla Thomson of Texas.
He was preceded in death by one nephew Tyson King; and his parents Wilford and Viola Jamie (nee: Layport).
Services will be held privately by the family.
