Jeffrey John Pufnock

Jeffrey John Pufnock, 57 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, September 2, 2021.

Jeff was born July 30,1964, in Lorain where he was raised, graduating from Lorain High School with the class of 1982. He was a self-employed Systems Analyst for over 25 years for his company, JEHM Technologies. He lived in Lagrange for twelve years before making his home in Amherst where he resided until his passing. 

Jeff loved and cherished his relationship with his Savior. Growing up in Lorain near Lake Erie instilled in him a love for being at the water. He shared a love of Cleveland Sports with his children and loved playing his guitar. He made his family his priority, always making them first, but enjoyed especially being Papa to his grandchildren. He will be remembered as being the kindest, most gentle man, someone who always sought to serve those around him. 

Survivors include his wife of 33 years Dawn Pufnock (nee: Gustis): his children Jon Hofener (April) of Cleveland, Erin Russell (Kyle) of Elyria, Hannah Forror (Dan) of Sheffield Village, and Michael Pufnock (Alyssa Schaeffer) of North Olmsted; his 4 grandchildren Ivan, Melody, Torin, and Benny; his brothers Richard Pufnock (Sue) of Lorain, James Pufnock (Debbie) of Port Clinton, and Daniel Pufnock (Laine) of Geneva, NY, and his mother Elizabeth Ann Pufnock (Snyder) of Lorain, and many nieces and nephews. 

Jeff was preceded in death by his brothers Donald Pufnock and David Pufnock; and his father Richard Andre’ Pufnock Sr,.

A brief public visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5-6 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 6p.m.at Hempel Funeral Home.

Family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the family for the care of his granddaughter Melody.
