Janet Renee Bevan

Janet Renee Bevan (nee: Brown), 89 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 6, 2021.

Janet was born November 16, 1931 in  Amherst and was raised in Lorain.  She was a member of Lorain High School's 1949 graduating class.  In 1978, Janet returned to Amherst where she resided until her death.

Janet was most recently a member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst.  She served as a former Sunday School Teacher and Ladies' Bible Study Leader at Church of the Open Door and at the Elyria Community Church of the Nazarene. Janet served as the past president of the Lakeland Women's Club and as secretary of Lorain Community Hospital Auxiliary Board.  Janet enjoyed tole painting and quilting in her spare time.

Survivors include her son Craig (Stephanie) Bevan of Elyria; her daughters Karen Carothers (David) of Lithia Florida and Jill (Del) Simonovich of Amherst; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years Charles "Chuck" Bevan in 2006

Private funeral services will be held by the family.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Evangelical Free Church; 46485 Middle Ridge Road, Amherst, OH  44001.
