Helen Williams (nee: Gibson), 83 years of age, and a resident of Grafton, passed away April 28, 2022, at her home following a lengthy illness.
Helen was born July 2, 1938, in Quinton, KY, and raised there. Grafton has been her home for the last 18 years.
Helen’s major work life was her home and family. Outside of those, she loved to sew, vegetable gardening,and crafting. However, her greatest joy in life was her family, children, and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Jack W. Bell of Elgin, S.C., Roger D. Williams of Elgin, S.C., Richard L. Williams of New Castle, IN, David E. (Clare) Williams of Elyria, Gregory S. Williams (Tammy) of Wellington, and Benjamin D. (Amy) Williams of Holland, Ohio; and numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; her brother LeRoy (Sherry) Gibson of Science Hill, KY; and her sister, Ola Mae Hancock, Somerset, KY.
She was preceded in death by her son; Timothy P. Williams; her two brothers; her two sisters; her husband of 59 years Leonard Williams; and her parents John W. and Edna Vada Gibson (nee: Hardwick).
Public Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022, 10 am- 12 noon till time of service at 12 noon at Hempel Funeral Home. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . The Rev. Bob Wickens, pastor at Open Door Church will officiate. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in South Amherst.
