Goldie Music

Goldie Music (nee: Whitt) 75 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, following a full and meaningful life.

She was born August 11, 1948 in Logan, West Virginia where she was raised. She had made her home in the Amherst area for over sixty years.

Her primary focus in life was that of a homemaker.  Goldie loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.  She was a devoted Christian and loved God. Goldie loved people and was deeply loved by all that knew her.

Survivors include her children; Charlotte Windham of Fostoria; and Beverly Binney of Hawaii; her grandchildren, Cindy Lewandowski (Rod), Hana Flores (Roy), Kai Binney, Emalia Binney, and Lambrey Sancreek, Bryan Dingess; and her great grandchildren, Connor Henry and Emily Henry.

She was preceded in death by her son Louis Franklin “Frankie” Dingess in 2018; and her parents, Andrew and Molly Whitt (nee: Stollings).

Friends may call Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 10:00 until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a Catholic Charity of the donor’s choice.
