Glenn Roger Whitt, 83 years of age, and a long time resident of Henrietta Twp., passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Mercy New Life Hospice Residence Center following a brief illness.
Glenn was born September 8, 1936, in Piketon, Ohio and was raised in Lucasville where he lived until 1962. He moved to the South Amherst area in 1962. Henrietta Twp. has been his home since 1969.
Glenn worked in the commercial paint department for the Lorain Ford Motor Company for 30 years before he retired. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. From 1956-1959. He was a member of the Ohio and Michigan Draft Horse Pullers Association. In his spare time he liked to restore antique cars.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years Helen Louise Whitt (nee: Burton). His daughter Dawn (Bill) Fox of Norwalk; his grandchildren Tyler Fox, Chad Fox, and Marla Ethington; his siblings Clyde (Patty) Whitt of Wakeman, Diane ( Leslie) Wheeler of Wakeman, Lowell (Sally) Whitt of Wakeman, Jim (Pat) Whitt of Piketon, Karen (Ward) of Waverly, Theresa (Tom) Higginbotham of South Carolina, Steve Whitt of Wakeman; and a sister-in-law Naleta Whitt of McGuffey.
Glenn was preceded in death by a stillborn infant; his brother Harvey; and parents Marvin and Nettie Whitt (nee: Sheets).
Private graveside services will be held by the family at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst, Ohio.
