Georgia Lee Fisher (nee: Napier), 87 years of age, and a resident of South Amherst, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at New Life Hospice, following a full and meaningful life.
She was born April 3, 1936 in Roark, Kentucky where she was raised. As a young adult, Georgia moved to Lorain County. She had made her home in South Amherst for over fifty years.
Her primary focus was that of a homemaker. She was a former member of the Church of the Open Door in Elyria. Georgia was an avid reader and loved to play the piano. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Charles Henry Fisher; her children, David Fisher (Janet) of Carlisle Township and Patricia Fisher of Amherst; her grandson, Trevor Whaley and her sister, Haley Writt (Richard) of Spring, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, John H. Napier, Vernon Napier, Waldo Napier, Earl Napier, Oda Simpson and Doshia Stanley; and her parents George and Elsie Napier (nee: Osborne).
Friends may call Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
