Ethel Heffelfinger

Ethel Heffelfinger (nee: Stoneback), 94 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at Amherst Manor following a long and full life.

Ethel was born April 16, 1927, in Hatfield, PA where she was raised and lived until moving in 2005 to Amherst, OH to live with her daughter.

Ethel dedicated her life to taking care of her home and family.  She and her husband Bob ran a residential and commercial cleaning service.  She was a member of Penn Valley Grace Brethren Church in Telford, Pennsylvania. Ethel attended Life Church in Grafton, Ohio since 2010.

Survivors include her children Rev. Jeff and Donna Ahlgrim of Amherst, William “Bill” and Michelle Heffelfinger of Granger, Indiana, and a daughter-in-law Paula Heffelfinger of South Bend, Indiana; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and her sisters Betty Lou Nyce and Ruth Worthington both of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years; her son Robert Heffelfinger; her parents Harvey and Hannah Stoneback (nee: Henning) and siblings Edith Fosbenner; William Stoneback and Harvey Stoneback.

Services will be held and burial will take place at a later date in Hatfield, Pennsylvania.
