Ernest Ross Watson IV

Ernest Ross Watson IV, 22 years of age, and a resident of Elyria, passed away September 7, 2022.

Ernest was born October 5, 1999, in  Elyria and was raised in Columbia Station. 

Ernest was most recently employed with his father at Watson & Son Remodeling Company. Outside of his work he loved being a Browns fan, listening to music, playing video games, and  collecting a vast array of shoes.  Enzo, his cat, was his pet and friend. He also loved to decompress with road trips in his car or on his motorcycle. Above all, he loved his family and especially his brother Garrett. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends.

Survivors include his brother, Garrett Watson of Oberlin; his sister, Cassidi (Austin) Skipper and their son  Levi “Neps” of Amherst; his step-sisters, Brenda Kaylor and Gerie Kaylor of Oberlin; his parents, Ernest (Sara) Watson III of Oberlin and Wendi Black of Elyria; his grandparents, Terence and Mary Ann Black of Broadview Heights, Marsha Fundak of Amherst, Sue Watson of Columbia Station; and his great grandfather, George Fundak of Elyria. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ernest Watson Jr. in 2022, his Aunt Michelle Watson in 2004; and his great grandmother, Martha Fundak.

Friends may call September 13, 2022, from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 pm at Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Rd., Elyria, Ohio. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . The Rev. Rick Keesee, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will follow at Columbia Station Cemetery, Columbia Station, Ohio.
