Eric LeRoy Miller

Eric LeRoy Miller, 47 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023.

He was born August 2, 1976 in Elyria, Ohio. Eric graduated from Amherst Steele High School with the class of 1995. He had resided in Castalia, Ohio for ten years before returning to Amherst where he resided until his passing.

Eric was employed as a stone mason and designer at Amherst Memorial Studios. He was energetic, outgoing and quick witted. Eric loved cooking especially for family gatherings. He enjoyed going to auctions and sales, and was a collector of hats, PEZ dispenser, D.C. comics, Godzilla memorabilia and Funko Pops. Eric enjoyed playing magic cards, attending “night at the races” fundraisers, and socializing with his friends at the Amherst Eagles.

Survivors include his parents Alvin and Debbie Miller (nee: Miller); his brother David (Kelly) Miller and their children Trinity, Tori and Tristan; and his girlfriend Jessica; several aunts and uncles as well as many cousins.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Ethel (Wilcox) Miller and Valley (Steve) and Rosalee (Eckhard) Miller. 

Friends may call Friday, August 25, 2023, from 4 until the time of the funeral services at 7 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Daniel Griffin, a cousin of Alvin's will officiate. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com .
