Eleanor Lange Obituary

Eleanor E. Lange (nee: Hummon), 89 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Community Health Partners in Lorain.

She was born July 13, 1917 in Blufton, Ohio where she was raised as a young girl. She later moved to Findlay with her family where she and her husband operated the Findlay airport for many years. She later moved to Tecumseh, Michigan where she resided until the late 70ies. Eleanor resided in Mesa, Arizonia for thirty years before moving to Amherst where she had lived for the last four years.

Eleanor's career after being a homemaker was that of an office manager and accountant. While living in Mesa Arizonia she was a member of East Mesa Christian Disciples of Christ Church for twenty years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, golfing, square dancing and traveling.

Survivors include her son Dean Eddy of Elyria; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of twenty years Paul P. Eddy, her second husband of twenty-one years Elmer E. Beuhrer and her third husband of twenty-three years Donald L. Lange; by her twin boys Jack and Gene in infancy; by her brothers Ray Hummon, Carl Hummon and Harold Hummon; and by her parents Lloyd and Grace Hummon (McCelland).

Friends may call Sunday, April 22, 2007 from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 23, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Arnie Fleagle, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst, will officiate. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery in Scottsdale, Arizona

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to East Mesa Christian Disciples of Christ Church; 706 South Greenfield Rd, Mesa, Az 85206.
