Edna Mural Keith (nee: Carrender), 74 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her home, following a long and full life.
She was born January 28, 1947 in Wayne County, Kentucky. Edna had made her home in Lorain since 1979.
Edna treasured her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed her yearly planting and tending to her balcony garden, growing tomatoes as other vegetables. Edna was always ready for a game of Mario on her Nintendo game system, or playing bingo wherever she could. Jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles were always a welcome diversion.
Survivors include her children, Deborah Pauline Keith and Will Rosado of Lorain, Gary and Leita Keith of Elyria, Steve and Sheila Taylor (nee: Keith) of Science Hill, Kentucky and Rhonda Riley (nee: Keith) of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; grandchildren, Ryan Craft, Jr, Brandie Craft, Andrew Riley, Kellie Riley, Meagan Riley, Michael Rosa, Brandon Keith, and Matthew Riley; many great grandchildren; her siblings, Hubert Carrender and Christine Black, both of Somerset, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, James Paul Keith on January 14, 2000; by many siblings; and by her parents, Judge and Lita Carrender (nee: Turpin).
Public visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at http://www.hempelfuneralhome.com/ . The Rev. Farrell Keith, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in South Amherst, will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst
