Douglas Fisher Obituary
Douglas Alan Fisher, 55 years of age, and a resident of Akron, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, August 5, 2022.
He was born July 21, 1967 in Elyria, graduating from Elyria High School. Doug has made his home in Akron for the last seven years.
Doug had served in the United States Navy. He also worked for Northern Telecom / NorTel of Tennessee as a local supervisor.
Survivors include his mother, Alice Faye Fisher (nee: Carwell) of Akron, his daughter, Katelyn Marie Fisher of Omaha, NB; his siblings, Beverly Kaye Phillips of Columbia, TN, John Glenn Fisher of Akron; his nephew, Joshua Paul Phillips of Lewisburg, TN; as well as extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn George Fisher on November 29, 2000.
Friends may call Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 12:00 noon at the Hempel Funeral Home. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . The Rev. Rick Keesee, pastor of Midway Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
