Diane Louise Kinser (nee: Shaw), 72 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away suddenly February 4, 2021, at her home.
She was born February 16, 1948, in Canton, Ohio where she was raised and lived until 1970. Shortly after her marriage to Robert Kinser, they moved to Elyria, where she lived until 2009, when they moved to Amherst, where she had resided until her passing.
She received her Bachelor in Elementary Education at Capital University and her Master of Education from Baldwin Wallace. Diane was employed as a kindergarten teacher at Crestwood School in Elyria for thirty-six years. After retirement, she assisted at Powers Elementary in Amherst as an aide. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. Diane always made herself available to volunteer to help others.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Robert “Bob” Kinser; her sons, J.B. Kinser (Erin) of Amherst and Brock Kinser (Patricia) of Loveland, OH; her grandchildren, Reagan, Mason, Corrinn, Charles, and Abigail; and her sister, Marilyn J. Davies of Canton.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald J. and Mary Louise Shaw (nee: Tonks).
Services were held privately for the family. A public celebration of life will be held at a future date to be announced by the family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to your local public library, to your local school system library, or to the classroom library of a special teacher of your choice.
