Dennis Hall

Dennis Hall, 87 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at his home following a lengthy illness.

Dennis was born on February 3, 1936, in Pikeville, KY, and had made Amherst his home for over 30 years. He worked as a relief man for the Ford Motor Company for 35 years.

Dennis was a jack of all trades. He loved to be busy all day long, and he loved to have his black coffee with him while he was working. He was a perfectionist in all that he applied his hand to do. Dennis was very mechanical and could work on any vehicle. He flipped houses, landscaped his yard to perfection, and tended to his vegetable garden. Dennis enjoyed playing the guitar and singing country music. He could often be found watching the Discovery Channel and the mysteries of nature. By far, his greatest joy was being surrounded by family whenever possible.  

Survivors include his daughters, Pamela Davila of Lorain; Denielle (Lane) Stearns of Vermilion; Hazel Waller of Amherst; grandchildren, Michael, Tiffany, Jade, Austin, Logan, and Asher; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and his sister, Dianne of Georgia. 

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Hazel Hall; brothers, Dial, John, and Roger; his granddaughter Ciera Davila; and his parents, Jerry and Dixie Hall (nee: Yates).

Family and friends may call Friday, October 27, 2023, from 10 am until the time of the service at Noon at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.  Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township, Ohio.
