Debra "Debbie" Lynn Resor

Debra  “Debbie” Lynn Resor (nee: Sergent), 61 years of age, and a resident of Wellington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, following a brief illness.

She was born February 20, 1962 in Elyria, Ohio. Debbie was a graduate of Clearview High School with the class of 1980.  She continued her education at Lorain County Community College where she received her Bachelor's in Nursing.  Debbie had made her home in Wellington for over thirty-five years.

She was employed as a psychiatric nurse at Mercy Regional Medical Center for thirty-six years.  Debbie loved music and singing.  She loved writing, journaling about  her children, grandchildren and her faith. She enjoyed sharing and writing about her love story and life journey with her husband Billy.  Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Tiana Resor, Cassie (Michael) Coley both of Wellington,  Benjamin  (Maria) Provoznik of Castalia, and Kristin Resor of Greenwich; her grandchildren, Gavin, Jaxon, Mia, Easton, Landon, Carter, Piper, Tucker and Evee;  and her brother, Rick (Joyce) Sergent of Lorain; and her in-laws William and Helen Resor of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her husband William K. Resor, Jr. on August 15, 2021; her son Eric William Resor on March 22,2010 and her parents, Richard and Georgia Sergent (nee: Hall).

Friends may call Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.   Funeral services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  The Rev. Rich Henry, pastor of the River Church, will officiate. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
