Deborah J. Wagner (nee: Duncan), “Sissy” “Gram” 70 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her home following a sudden illness.
She was born December 19, 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee. Deborah had made her home in Amherst since 1957. She was a graduate of Amherst High School with the class of 1967.
She was employed at Clark and Post Architect in Lorain for over thirty years. Deborah loved Cleveland's Sports, especially the Indians. She enjoyed going to play bingo and having game nights with family and friends. Deborah collected movies and had over 400 movies. She enjoyed watching her grandkids play basketball, baseball and dance and could be found at all their games, always wanting her popcorn. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family, especially her grandkids. Deborah loved watching games, especially the family feud in which she could always answer the questions correctly.
Survivors include her daughters Kimberly Berga, April (Jeff) Milde and Christie Hall; her mother Jeanne Duncan (nee:Wilson); her grandchildren Joey Ritz, Jessica Hall, Austin Ritz, Justin Milde, Dale Milde; her inherited grandchildren Tyler Talbert, Jakey Ritz; her great granddaughter Serena Ritz; her sisters Linda (Johnny) Chapman, Jenny (Beck) Nichols, Jody (Kenny) Byar; her brothers Richard (Lisa) Duncan, Randy (Sherry) Duncan and lots of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donnie Wagner in 2007 and her father William T. Duncan, Jr. in 1986.
Public visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, October 5, 2020, afternoon and evening by reservation at https://signup.com/go/oPbuKpk or by calling 440-988-4451 during business hours 9:00 - 5:00 p.m., at Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst, Ohio. Limited public funeral for family and friends will be held Tuesday morning by reservation at https://signup.com/go/ACEqKaK at Hempel Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
