Deanna Lynn Koepp (Hembree), 43 years of age, and a resident of Sheffield Township, passed away March 2, 2021 at Avon Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 16, 1977 in Amherst, Ohio. Deanna was a lifetime resident of Sheffield Township.
She worked as a home health aid for Comfort Keeper and Maximum Health Care for a total of twenty-three years. Deanna had a heart for others and was a foster parent to many. She loved camping, traveling and shopping, especially for Christmas which was her favorite holiday.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Lee Ward; her children, Michael Heidrich of Sheffield Township, Brendan Ward of Lorain, Christine Spradling, Jennifer Heidrich, Adison Scalf all of Sheffield Township; her brothers, Danny Hembree of Lorain, Charles Hall (Nancy) of Vermilion; her nephews and nieces, Danny Hembree, Jr., Dewon Hembree, Destiny Scalf and Jennifer Smith; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Dewayne Hembree in 2017; and her parents Dewon and Mary Helen Hembree (nee: Neeley); and her Aunt Lois J. Hembree, and Aunt Carol Mattey.
Public visitation for family and friends will be held at Hempel Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon and evening by reservation at https://signup.com/go/ELgxhzz or by phoning the funeral home at 440-988-4451 during business hours of 9-5. Services will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 in the morning at the funeral home by reservation at https://signup.com/go/aPDirzS. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at http://www.hempelfuneralhome.com/. The Rev. Roger Dorsey of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church , will officiate. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
