David Dwight Miller, 72 years of age, and a lifetime resident of Brownhelm Township, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a blessed and meaningful life.

He was born January 16, 1951, in Oberlin, Ohio and was raised in Brownhelm Township.  Dave graduated from Firelands High School.  He continued his education at Lorain County Community College and Ohio State University.

Dave grew up working the family orchards and was the 4th generation of orchard farmers when he became a partner in the Miller’s Orchard and later in Miller's Apple Hill Bulk Foods.  He was a mentor to many young people at the farm. Dave was an active and faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst and a former member of The Church of the Open Door and Brownhelm United Church of Christ. Dave served as a Sunday School teacher and was active with the Trail of Life Camp where he was a squad leader. He was active in the community, serving on the Brownhelm Zoning Committee and Brownhelm 4-H.  Dave was a developer of the County Line Produce Auction. He loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, canoeing and boating. His greatest joy was the time he spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
